The Founder of the Trowel Trades concept; David Manners (a long time participant in the Industry) recognised the Trades using Trowels (Plasterers, Concreters, Brickies & Blockies, Stoppers etc.) didn’t have a “One Stop Shop” for all their requirements.

The License
The Trowel Trade License Agreement is a long term commitment for both parties to work together to create a successful Licensee.
It includes branding and marketing support in return for preferred supplier support. A defined geographical area will be agreed upon if required.

Suppliers and ‘Core Range Support’ as suitable
We have a number of Preferred Suppliers to ensure store competitiveness in the market. We continue to add to our supplier list. It Is part of the license agreement that stores support preferred supplier agreements to a high level.
Core Range Support
Trowel Trades cover a number of core trades divided into exterior, drywall, concrete, tiling and painting. It is expected licensees cover at least the minimum product and range required in each area.
Trowel Trades will ensure that stocking requirements for accessory items such as paint, power tools, electrical, other general hardware and building products will be at minimum levels, but enough to ensure the integrity of Trowel Trades brands and the marketing activities we undertake for each of those brands.
EDI - Centralised Billing
At this point stores have a direct account with suppliers.
It is our intention to introduce an EDI (supplier invoicing direct to Support Office) in the medium term.
